Population: 46,152,925 people.

Major City

The major city of spain that I chose was Barcelona. I chose this city because it was one of the many cities to chose from.

Some of the major cities in Spain are Andalucia, Aragon, Asturias, Baleares, Canarias, Contabria, Castilla y Leon, Castilla-La Mancha, Cataluna, Comunidad Valencia, Extremadura, and the capital of Spain, Madrid.

I chose Barcelona because it has quite a few attractions to it. Some attractions that I chose are La Casa Mila and Moll De La Fusta.

Barcelona is the capital of Catalonia, and it is the second largest city in Spain right next Madrid.

It is also the most populated city in Catalonia. Barcelona has a population of 1,621,537 people within its administrative limits of area.

Barcelona actually has a population of 4,200,000. Barcelona has an area of 101.4 km squared (39 sq miles).

Barcelona is also located in the North-Eastern part of Spain. Barcelona is one of the world's leading tourist and cultural centres, and its influences in commerce, education, entertainment, media, fashion, science, and the arts all contribute to its status as one of the world's major global cities.

CULTURE

The religion variety of spain is very small. Religion: Roman Catholic 94% and Other 6%. On the other hand, the variety of languages is very broad. Languages: Castilian Spanish 74% Catalan 17% Galieian 7% Basque 2%. The food that the people of Spain usually eat are mostly all vegetables. They eat from a variety of fruit, vegetables, and stew. Some of the foods that they eat are: fresh vegetables, olive oil, garlic, gazpacho soup, seafood, stew, and the thing that they are most famous for, fish casseroles. The people of Spain also eat a lot of rice dishes, like paella. Pasta is also very popular in Spain. Often potatoes come as a side dish with pasta. Foods are usually tasty, with rich sauces. There aren't a lot of herbs used in traditional dishes. Most of the food in Spain are flavored with onion, garlic, and salt. Beans are usually included in a lot of dishes, but they are very different from the beans found in Mexico, and they are prepared very differently. Typical beans found in Spain are lentils, garbanzos, and habos (Fava beans), and white beans. Also there are very few pintos or black beans in Spain. Another food that people in Spain eat is called a Tortilla.

PHYSICAL Geography

In Spain there are a lot of rivers. There are three rivers that I thought were very important to Spain's physical geography. The names of the three rivers that I chose are the Duero Mino river, Tajo river, and the Guidana river. I chose these three rivers because they are the rivers taht rise up in Spain, and flow through Portugal. I also chose a very important mountain to spain's physical geography. The mountain that I chose was the Pyrenees Mountains. I chose this mountain range because it is the mountain that seperates Spain from France.

Sports

In 2010 Spain's international football team won The Fifa World Cup. Spain's head coach of the crowned champions was Vicente Del Bosque. The reason why I chose Spain was because they won the 2010 Fifa World Cup.
